Who was Charles Baillairgé?
He was the architect who built the original Clarendon 1870 Hotel. The hotel has undergone major renovations and expansion since then, resulting in the building you see today with its combination of unique styles.
A rooftop garden
In 2009, the hotel created a garden on its roof. Our chef uses fresh herbs from the garden, and its beautiful flowers grace guests’ tables.

With its large windows overlooking the centre of Old Québec, the Clarendon bar has been a cultural jewel for thirty years.
